Hello, I’m Mai.
A Japanese Pilates instructor based in Sydney, and a former international flight attendant.
I moved to Australia in 2007 to pursue my career in aviation, living a fast-paced and irregular lifestyle that challenged my body every day. To stay healthy, I practised Bikram Yoga for over 10 years. But it was Pilates—after becoming a mother of two—that truly transformed my body and my life.
My Approach
Today, I specialize in helping women—especially in their 40s and beyond—improve posture, reduce pain, and feel confident in their bodies again.
Many women I meet feel that their body has “suddenly changed” with age—
but in reality, it’s often the result of years of unnoticed habits.
When posture changes, everything changes.
How you look, how you move, how you feel—
and even how you show up in your life.
And the longer it’s left, the harder it becomes to reverse.
That’s why starting now matters.
My approach focuses on deep stabilizing muscles, alignment, and foot fitness—
because everything starts from the foundation of your body.
By restoring strength and function in the feet, and addressing issues such as flat feet and bunions, we create better alignment throughout the entire body, allowing real, lasting change to happen.
Because true transformation is not about pushing harder—
it’s about using your body correctly.
A Turning Point
A defining moment in my journey came when my mother suffered a stroke and lost movement on one side of her body.
During COVID isolation, without access to proper rehabilitation, she relied only on what she had learned from me—and our phone guidance.
Within just one week, she regained most of her movement.
This experience deeply reinforced my belief:
the body has an incredible ability to heal and change—when guided correctly.
Experience & Expertise
Since 2018, I have been teaching Pilates both in person and online, helping clients improve posture, strength, flexibility, and manage chronic pain.
I am trained across a wide range of disciplines, including:
Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Barre, Pregnancy & Postnatal Pilates, Back Pain management, and functional training using small equipment such as Magic Circle, Swiss Ball, Bands, and Small Ball.
I also incorporate foot fitness training to restore proper foot function, improve balance, and support long-term posture and movement—
including addressing common concerns such as flat feet and bunions.

from busy professionals to mothers navigating physical changes.
